A '4 Element Photo' just named Runner Up in the 2018 Nature Photographer of the Year Contest

Got some awesome news today, my photo "Painted Cormorants" was named as the Runner Up in the Black and White category in this year's NPOTY contest. This is a big one for me and I am really happy and honored to receive an award, especially in this particular category.

After having a scroll through the other winners I am literally blown away, the photos chosen are seriously insane - the fact that I am even in that group seems crazy to me. Additionally, I am also stoked to be one of only 2 Canadians selected as winners in this international contest, the other Canadian winner being one of my favorite nature photographers and someone whose work and ethic I look up to very much - it's a real honor to represent Canada here!!! So sending a big thanks out to the jury panel of this years' contest for my award, but also for picking some seriously killer photos!
